Mark A. Ramiro, MD

Dr. Mark Ramiro earned his medical degree from the Far Eastern University, Quezon City, Manila, Philippines. He served his residency at the University of Arkansas Medical Sciences in Family Medicine.

Dr. Ramiro is a member of the Arkansas Medical Society, Jefferson County Medical Society, and holds ambulatory privileges at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Ramiro is married and has a son and two daughters.

Michelle Rawls, APRN

Michelle is a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner. She received her undergraduate nursing education from UAMS College of Nursing, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 2002. She worked as an RN for 16 years, gaining experience in almost every nursing specialty.

In 2018, Michelle completed her master’s degree in Nursing Science at UAMS. She is certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Michelle has 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry and is certified to treat acute and chronic medical conditions in patients of all ages.

She is a proud native of Southeast Arkansas, where she lives with her husband and two sons.

Michelle works full time with Dr. Ramiro.

Hospitalization

Our physicians do not admit patients to the hospital but work with Jefferson Regional Medical Center, highly qualified hospitalists. A hospitalist is a physician who sees patients in the hospital on behalf of family practice physicians.

If you require hospitalization, Dr. Ramiro will contact the hospitalist on call to explain your condition and gain admission.

The hospitalist will closely monitor you in the hospital – order tests, medications and necessary treatment – while keeping your physician informed. Once discharged from the hospital, care will be provided by your regular physician.

Patient Messages

Our goal is to return your message the day it is received depending on the time received and clinic schedule. Please allow 24 hours for messages to be returned. You may submit messages via our secure patient portal.

On-Site Lab & X-Ray

Our lab is able to perform blood tests, urinalysis, serologies for mono and pregnancy tests.

Physicians are able to order chest, bone, and joint X-rays on-site and have the results within a reasonable amount of time.

The availability of these capabilities in our clinic (and not at a third-party facility), allows us to provide you with quicker diagnosis and treatment – often while you are being examined.

Our providers see patients by scheduled appointment. To schedule an appointment please call, 870-247-9499 or email us and a scheduler will try to schedule your appointment within the time frame you requested. We make every effort to see you in a timely manner. If you are a member of our Patient Portal, you may schedule your appoints from the portal.
