Chronic Illness Management

Chronic illnesses include, but are not limited to, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, arthritis and allergies. Such illnesses generally require a lifetime of treatment.

Acute Care

Acute care illnesses include such things as upper respiratory infections, bladder infections, back, neck and other musculoskeletal injuries – maladies that, while possibly severe, are generally brief when properly treated.

Wellness Care

Our physicians strongly recommend you have a wellness physical once a year. An annual wellness examination provides our physicians with the information necessary to ensure you maintain a healthy lifestyle, and is also a key to early diagnosis and treatment of potentially serious diseases.

Many insurance policies now cover most, if not all, the cost of a wellness visit.

Annual Visits

Include Pap smears (Papanicolaou test), prostate exam, blood work, colon (Colorectal) cancer screening.

Maintaining the recommended immunization schedule is an important aspect of wellness for both adult and pediatric patients. We encourage you to check with your physician to make certain you are current.

On-Site Lab & X-Ray

Our lab is able to perform blood tests, urinalysis, serologies for mono and pregnancy tests.

Physicians are able to order chest, bone and joint X-rays on-site and have the results within a reasonable amount of time.

The availability of these capabilities in our clinic (and not at a third-party facility) allows us to provide you with quicker diagnosis and treatment – often while you are being examined.

Our physicians do not admit patients to the hospital, but work with Jefferson Regional Medical Center, highly qualified hospitalists. A hospitalist is a physician who sees patients in the hospital on behalf of family practice physicians.

If you require hospitalization, Dr. Coleman and Dr. Ramiro will contact the hospitalist on call to explain your condition and gain admission.

The hospitalist will closely monitor you in the hospital – order tests, medications and necessary treatment – while keeping your physician informed. Once discharged from the hospital, care will be provided by your regular physician.

Patient Messages

Our goal is to return your message the day it is received depending on the time received and clinic schedule. Please allow 24 hours for messages to be returned. You may submit messages via our secure Patient Portal.
